"Telephone" is epic, says MTV

Last week, MTV News began a countdown of the Top 25 Songs of 2010, placing songs in positions from 25th to 18 th and 17 th and 11 th places.
These lists have weight-heavy songs like Lady GaGa ("Alexander"), Katy Perry ("Teenage Dream"), Rihanna ("Rude Boy"), Bob ("Airplanes") and Kanye West ("Monster").
Despite all these songs are vital, could not muster the combination of chart success, critical acclaim, the enthusiasm of fans and cultural impact to enter the top 10.But "Telephone," the epic of Lady GaGa with Beyonce held the # 10 position.

"It was my favorite song from Fame Monster EP," said Jim Cantiello. "She has so much personality. It's like a good pop song dance, and is so gaga. It's incredible. ""Generally, the presence of Lady GaGa is so enormous that there is not much room for anyone else - much less a star the size of Beyonce (actually, when the two worked together on" Video Phone "GaGa was a little lost in the mix ). But in "Telephone," Beyoncé appears perfectly, singing 'Sasha Fierce' alter-ego, in a hard and edgy appearance that adds a little humanity to despair of GaGa. ""Verses from Beyonce are so out of context," Cantiello pointed out. "But it's Beyonce, although in a strange way."The impact of music was also buoyed by the video. Directed by Jonas Akerlund, the nine-minute epic tells the story of GaGa escaping from prison with the help of Beyonce. The pair then go on a rampage seems "Killers By Nature" to "Thelma & Louise," which ends with the pair headed for a cliff. The clip was hailed as a grand opening of a short film, and the result was a colorful tour, sexy and violent with the outer reaches of the imagination of GaGa.And consider this: Despite its sold out everywhere in "Monster Ball Tour," a ton of MTV Video Music Awards, and a huge number of social action projects, this is probably a quiet year for GaGa. "2010 has not been great this year for Lady GaGa compared to 2009," says the writer Jocelyn Vena. "But this album did so well on radio and in clubs so well that she maintained a presence that few pop stars get so early in his career. She's ready to have an even greater in 2011. "
